Description

Three antique brass lamp holders sit in a line along a slim horizontal bar, each carrying its own drum shade in antique gold faux silk with a ruby lining. The shades are 30cm across and shallow in depth, so the fitting reads as a run of light rather than a cluster. Faux silk gives them a quiet sheen, and the linings show as a warm blush of colour when the lamps are on. Each holder takes an E27 lamp.

It is the shape we reach for over a dining table or a kitchen island, where a single central pendant would leave the ends dim. It suits a long narrow table better than a round one, and it earns its place in open-plan rooms where one fitting has to cover a stretch of seating. The drop is adjustable across a generous range, so it can hang low over a worktop or be shortened for a hallway with less height above. We would fit warm white LED GLS lamps here, up to 20W each, and it will dim if you pair suitable lamps with a compatible dimmer.

The metalwork is finished in antique brass, a softened warm tone that sits comfortably with the gold of the shades, and the ruby lining warms the light as it passes through. Keep it to dry rooms indoors, away from bathroom splashes and open weather. With the power off, a dry cloth is enough for the brass, and a soft brush will lift dust from the silk without flattening the weave. It carries a one year warranty. The same range runs to flush fittings in white and polished chrome if you need something closer to the ceiling elsewhere in the house. Lamps are not included.
