Description

Three slim arms rise from a polished chrome stem into a broad faux silk drum, each fitted with an E14 socket for a small candle lamp. The shade measures 50cm across, taupe on the outer face with a halo gold lining that lends the light a soft warmth as it falls onto whatever sits beneath. Suspension is on a 1.5m chain, so the hanging height can be set to suit the room, and the bright chrome plays nicely against the muted fabric. We sell it as a wide, low pendant rather than a tall, narrow one.

It earns its place above a dining table, where one generous shade at eye level does the work of several smaller fittings, and it settles just as well in a hallway with height to spare or over a landing. The lamps working together give an even wash rather than a single hard pool, which suits rooms used for eating and talking late. We would put dimmable lamps in it, as the fitting will dim with them once a suitable dimmer is wired in. It is a good pick if you want fabric softness overhead with a little polish in the metalwork.

The frame and chain are metal in a polished chrome finish, and the shade is faux silk drawn over a drum form with the gold on the inside.
