Description

Three slender arms sweep out from a central satin nickel body, each ending in an E14 socket for a candle lamp, and the whole cluster sits beneath a single wide faux silk shade. At 50cm across, that shade gives the pendant a broad, low profile closer to a drum than a chandelier. Grey faux silk covers the outer face, while a white laminate lining inside throws the light back down over the table. The metalwork is satin nickel, a soft brushed sheen rather than a bright chrome, and the fitting hangs on chain.

This is a pendant we would hang over a dining table, a kitchen island or a generous hall table, where its width has room to breathe. The supplied chain runs to 1.5m, so the drop can be dialled down low over a table top or taken up for a landing or a hallway with less headroom. Dimming is possible, though it needs dimmable lamps and a separate dimmer to work. Keep it to indoor rooms that stay dry.

The shade is faux silk over a laminate backing, so it holds its shape and keeps a clean edge; dust it with a dry brush or the soft tool on a vacuum, and give the nickel arms a wipe with a barely damp cloth once the lamps have gone cold. Fingerprints show less on satin nickel than on polished metal, which is part of why we like it on a fitting that hangs near head height. It carries a one year warranty. Candle lamps are chosen separately, and we would go for warm white LEDs to keep the grey shade from looking cold.
