Description
A plain round disc for outside walls, 16cm across and sitting close to the wall with a shallow projection. The face is finished in sand white, a soft off-white that reads as a pale circle by day and a quiet glow after dark. Light comes from an integrated LED module of 6W, driver on board, giving a warm white tone that flatters brick, render and painted timber rather than bleaching them.
Its job is the everyday one: lighting a front door, a side passage, a porch or a set of garden steps so people can see where they are putting their feet. Sealed against dust and splashing water, it copes with a normal British run of rain and wind on an exposed wall. There is no switch on the body and no dimming, so it runs from the switch or timer that already controls the circuit, which suits porch lights left on a photocell or a security setting. We would fit a pair either side of a door for symmetry, or space several along a boundary wall where a lantern would look fussy.
The disc shape keeps the detail down to the finish itself, and the pale coating stays discreet against light render and stonework. Keeping it looking well is a matter of an occasional wipe with a damp cloth once the power is off and the fitting has cooled, paying attention to the underside of the rim where cobwebs and grit gather over a season. It carries a three year warranty. Because the LED is built in, there is nothing to unscrew and replace in normal use. We stock the same round face in a smaller size, and in anthracite and rust brown alongside this sand white, with square versions in both sizes if you prefer straight edges around a door frame. Mixing the round and the square across a house tends not to work; we would pick one and hold to it.

Frequently Asked
How wide is it and how far does it stick out?
The face measures 160mm in diameter with a projection of just 30mm, so it stays tight to the wall and out of the way of a door swing or a narrow passage.
What colour is the light?
Warm white at 3000K, a soft yellow-white that suits front doors, porches and garden walls. It is not a cool or blue-toned light.
Can I dim it?
No. It is non-dimmable and should be run from a standard on/off switch, timer or photocell rather than a dimmer.
Is there a bulb to change?
No. The LED is integrated with the driver on board, rated at 6W with an average life of 30,000 hours.
Is it suitable for an exposed wall?
Yes. It is rated IP54, which covers dust and splashing water from any direction, so it is fine in typical outdoor positions on a house or garden wall.
How should I clean it?
Switch off at the circuit, let it cool, then wipe the face and rim with a damp cloth. Avoid solvents and abrasive creams, which will dull the sand white finish.
