Description

A small round disc in anthracite, this outdoor light sits tight to the wall and reads as a quiet dot of light rather than a fixture demanding attention. The face measures 11cm across and the body projects only a little way forward, so it stays out of the way beside a door or along a narrow path. The LED is built in and draws 3W, putting out a soft warm white at 3000K that flatters brick, render and painted timber. It is not dimmable and has no switch on the body, so it works from whatever controls the circuit.

We reach for this one where a lantern would be too bulky and too bright: flanking a front door, marking the top and bottom of garden steps, running in pairs along a side passage, or lighting a balcony on a flat. The output is gentle, so think of it as guidance and welcome rather than floodlighting a whole garden. It is rated for exposed positions outdoors and copes with dust and splashing rain, and it is just as happy in a covered porch, a car port or a garden room doorway.

The anthracite finish is a deep grey that disappears against dark render and modern grey frames, and it takes rain without looking tired. A wipe with a damp cloth now and then, once the power is off and the face is cool, keeps the light clean and even; grit and cobwebs dull the output faster than anything else outdoors. It carries a three year warranty. We stock the round shape in sand white and rust brown as well, plus a square version and a larger round for wider walls, so a whole elevation can be kept consistent. The LED is integrated, so there is no lamp to buy.
