Description

The Ava is a 220mm wide rectangular crystal wall light with a French gold metal frame built from hand-linked rings, each holding individual octagon-cut crystals that cover the front face of the fitting. Two G9 bulbs (sold separately) sit behind the crystal screen, casting light through and around the faceted glass to create pattern and reflection on adjacent walls.

Designed for hallways, bedrooms, and living room accent positions where ambient wash lighting is needed without a large footprint, the Ava sits 120mm proud of the wall and provides layered illumination rather than direct downlight. The rectangular shape suits symmetrical wall positions — either side of a bed, flanking a mirror, or in pairs along a corridor. The 240mm height keeps the fitting compact enough for standard 2.4m ceiling heights without overwhelming the wall plane.

The French gold finish is a warm mid-tone gold with a slight satin sheen, darker than polished brass and less reflective than mirror-polished gold plate. Each octagon crystal is held in a circular metal ring, creating a repeating geometric pattern across the front face that becomes more prominent when the bulbs are lit. The combined metal frame and crystal screen weigh 1.0kg, providing substance without requiring reinforced fixings on standard plasterboard or brick walls.

The fitting accepts G9 bulbs up to 33W each. Most users pair it with LED G9 bulbs at 3W-5W and 2700K-3000K for warm ambient light. The fitting is dimmable when paired with dimmable G9 bulbs and a compatible dimmer switch.

What bulbs does it take?

The Ava takes two G9 capsule bulbs up to 33W each. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users choose LED G9 bulbs at 3W-5W and a warm white colour temperature between 2700K-3000K for ambient bedroom or hallway lighting.

Is it dimmable?

Yes, when fitted with dimmable G9 bulbs and connected to a compatible dimmer switch. Standard non-dimmable G9 bulbs will not dim and may flicker or fail if used with a dimmer.

How far does it project from the wall?

The fitting projects 120mm from the wall surface once installed. This allows clearance for the crystal screen and ensures the light washes outwards rather than sitting flush against the wall.

How is the crystal cleaned?

Switch off the power at the mains before cleaning. Use a dry microfibre cloth to wipe each crystal. For stubborn marks, a barely-damp cloth with distilled water is acceptable, but avoid soaking the metal frame or allowing water into the bulb holders.
