Description

The Ava is a rectangular crystal wall light with two G9 bulb fittings set behind a hand-constructed polished chrome frame filled with precision-cut octagon crystals. The frame is built from interlocking chrome rings that hold hundreds of small crystals in a dense geometric grid, so when lit the entire 220mm × 240mm face acts as a single sparkling surface rather than a conventional shade.

Designed for bedroom walls, hallway feature lighting and living room accent positions, the Ava provides both ambient and decorative light. The 120mm projection from the wall keeps it shallow enough for narrower hallways while the density of crystals gives enough visual presence to work as a standalone feature. The rectangular silhouette sits comfortably in modern and contemporary interiors, particularly where wall space is limited or where symmetry is needed (e.g. either side of a bed or mirror).

Each octagon crystal is hand-linked onto the chrome frame, creating micro-facets that reflect and refract light in multiple directions. The polished chrome finish amplifies this effect, bouncing light from the G9 bulbs through the crystal grid and back onto the surrounding wall. The result is a diffused sparkling effect rather than harsh directional light. Dimmable when paired with dimmable G9 bulbs (sold separately), allowing the intensity to be adjusted for different times of day or mood.

What bulbs does it take and are they included?

The Ava takes two G9 capsule bulbs up to 33W each. Bulbs are not included. Most users pair this with warm-white LED G9 bulbs between 2-4W and 2700K-3000K to get the best sparkle effect from the crystals without excessive heat or glare.

Is it dimmable?

Yes, provided you use dimmable G9 bulbs and pair them with a compatible dimmer switch. The fixture itself is dimmer-ready but the bulbs must also be dimmable for this to work.

What's the projection from the wall?

120mm. This is shallow enough for hallways and side-of-bed positions without protruding too far into the room, but gives enough depth to hold the crystal-filled frame securely.

How are the crystals cleaned?

Switch off and allow the bulbs to cool. Use a dry microfibre cloth to wipe each crystal gently. For more stubborn dust or marks, a barely-damp cloth with distilled water is acceptable, but avoid soaking the crystals or using household sprays that can leave residue on the chrome frame.
