Description

The Ava is a 2-light crystal wall light built from interlinked metal rings finished in French gold, each ring set with octagon-cut crystals. The circular bowl-shaped form measures 300mm wide by 150mm high and projects 140mm from the wall, housing two G9 bulb sockets (bulbs sold separately). The French gold finish is a warm metallic tone closer to brass than yellow gold, providing a warmer base than polished chrome or nickel.

Designed as decorative accent lighting for hallways, bedroom walls flanking a headboard, or living room feature walls, the Ava casts ambient light through the crystal-filled frame rather than directed task light. The octagon crystals are precision-cut to catch and refract light both from the internal bulbs and from daylight or other room sources, giving the fitting a reflective presence even when switched off. The circular symmetry suits paired installation on either side of a mirror, fireplace or architectural feature.

The French gold finish pairs well with warm-toned interiors, traditional mouldings, and rooms with existing brass or gold hardware. The 140mm projection means the fitting sits clear of the wall rather than flush, which increases the crystal sparkle by allowing light to pass around the rear of the bowl. Yes, when fitted with dimmable G9 LED bulbs and connected to a compatible LED dimmer switch. The fitting itself is dimmable-compatible but requires both dimmable bulbs and a suitable dimmer.

French gold is a warm metallic finish with a slight antique or aged tone, warmer and less reflective than bright polished brass. It pairs well with traditional and transitional interiors where a softer gold tone is preferred over high-shine brass.

The Ava weighs 0.8kg and requires secure fixing into masonry with appropriate wall plugs and screws, or into a timber stud with wood screws. On plasterboard walls without a stud behind, use cavity anchors rated for at least 1kg.
