Description
The Ava is a 320mm crystal table lamp built around a 150mm spherical globe of clear octagon-cut crystals, each set within interlocking French gold metal rings. Two G9 bulbs sit inside the sphere (sold separately, max 33W each), casting light through the dense crystal arrangement and reflecting off the gold framework. The lamp sits on a tapered French gold stem and weighted circular base.
Designed for bedside tables, console tables and sideboards where decorative accent lighting is needed rather than primary room illumination, the Ava pairs well with traditional, classical and warm-toned contemporary interiors. The 150mm globe diameter suits narrower surfaces without dominating them, while the 320mm overall height allows the lamp to sit below typical lampshades on neighbouring fittings. The French gold finish is a warm, slightly antiqued brass tone that sits between polished brass and antique brass.
Each octagon crystal is individually mounted in its own metal ring, forming a rigid spherical structure rather than a hanging arrangement. This gives the lamp a more geometric, architectural quality compared to draped crystal chandeliers. The weight of the crystal globe and metal frame is countered by the solid base, giving the lamp a stable 1.2kg presence that resists tipping on surfaces with foot traffic nearby. The lamp requires halogen G9 bulbs and is not compatible with LED or CFL alternatives.

Frequently Asked
What bulbs does the Ava require?
Two G9 halogen bulbs, max 33W each, sold separately. The lamp is not compatible with LED or CFL G9 bulbs due to the fitting design.
Is the Ava dimmable?
Yes, when paired with dimmable G9 halogen bulbs and a compatible dimmer switch. Both the bulbs and the dimmer must be rated for halogen loads.
What's the difference between French gold and polished brass?
French gold is a warm, slightly antiqued brass tone with a softer, less reflective finish than polished brass. It sits between polished brass and antique brass in tone and sheen.
How is the crystal cleaned?
Wipe individual crystals with a dry microfibre cloth. For more thorough cleaning, a barely-damp cloth with distilled water is acceptable, but avoid soaking the metal rings or getting water inside the globe where the bulb fittings sit.
