Description

Atom is a chandelier in antique brass and amber. A long horizontal antique brass bar hung level from two fine wires, finished at each end with a small brass ball, carrying eight amber glass spheres on short brass stubs that branch from it in pairs at four points along its length. The spheres sit above and below the bar at different angles, so the fitting reads as a line with clusters growing off it rather than a row. The glass is a warm honey tint, clear enough to show each lamp as a bright flame. The brass is a soft aged gold.

It suits a dining table or a hall with height above head level, where the arms are read as a shape rather than crowded against a ceiling. Hang it so the lowest lamp clears head height, about 2.1m from the floor where people walk beneath it, and lower over a table where nobody passes under it.

The holder is G9 and takes up to 28W each. It is rated IP20, for dry indoor rooms.

A G9 lamp up to 28W. Bulbs are supplied separately so you can choose the brightness and colour you want.

Can it be dimmed?

Yes, on a compatible dimmer, provided the lamp you fit is a dimmable one. The fitting has no dimmer of its own.

How high should it hang above a dining table?

About 80cm from the table top to the bottom of the lowest lamp. Go higher over an island people walk past, and lower over a table nobody passes beneath.

Can it go in a bathroom?

No. It is IP20, which covers dry interior rooms only. A bathroom needs IP44 or better.
