Description

The Aston is a 2 light wall light with a square lantern-style frame in antique brass, fitted with bevelled clear glass panels on all four sides. Two E14 candle bulbs sit inside the frame on turned metal lamp holders, casting light through the glass and creating reflections off the bevelled edges. The frame measures 205mm wide by 300mm tall with a 185mm projection from the wall.

Designed for hallways, entrance halls and landings where the fitting is visible from multiple angles, the Aston works as both ambient and decorative lighting. The four glass panels allow light to spread horizontally along a corridor or down a stairwell, while the bevelled edges catch and refract the light from passing angles. The 185mm projection suits walls where some depth is available without obstructing the walkway, typically in hallways 1200mm or wider.

The antique brass finish has a darker, warmer tone than polished or brushed brass, with subtle patina variations across the frame that give the fitting a lived-in character rather than a high-shine new appearance. This finish pairs well with heritage interiors, warm wood tones and traditional colour palettes in creams, deep reds and greens. The clear bevelled glass is hand-cut, so the bevel width and edge quality vary slightly between panels, giving each fitting individual character.

The Aston takes two E14 candle bulbs up to 60W each, sold separately. Most installations use 4-6W LED filament candle bulbs in warm white (2700K) to match the antique brass tone and provide sufficient hallway illumination at around 800 lumens total output. Dimmer compatibility depends on the bulb choice — LED filament bulbs are typically dimmable if paired with an LED-compatible trailing-edge dimmer.
