Description

The Armand is a 2-light crystal wall light built around a polished chrome backplate and two curved arms, each terminating in a faceted crystal glass sconce holding an E14 candle bulb. Twin crystal strands drape between the arms in shallow loops, with individual faceted beads catching and reflecting light across the fitting. Two vertical crystal-encrusted bars rise from the top of the backplate, framing the composition and extending the reflective surface area beyond the width of the arms.

Designed for hallways, living room feature walls and bedrooms where decorative accent lighting is needed without occupying floor space, the Armand suits traditional and transitional interiors with existing chrome, crystal or glass elements. The 160mm projection from the wall keeps the fitting clear of furniture placed against the same wall, while the 440mm height balances presence with proportionality on walls between 2.4m and 3m high. The polished chrome finish reflects ambient room light during the day and amplifies the candle-bulb glow when lit.

Each crystal bead is individually cut and strung, so the pattern of light scatter differs slightly between fittings depending on how the beads settle during installation. The weight of 1.3kg requires secure fixing into solid wall material or a hollow-wall anchor rated for the load. The E14 sockets accept candle or flame-tip bulbs up to 60W each (sold separately), and the fitting is dimmable when paired with dimmable bulbs and a compatible trailing-edge dimmer.

What bulbs does the Armand take?

The fitting takes two E14 (small Edison screw) candle or flame-tip bulbs up to 60W each. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with warm-white LED candle bulbs between 4-6W and 2700K for a warm glow that complements the crystal.

Is it dimmable?

Yes, when fitted with dimmable E14 bulbs and connected to a compatible trailing-edge dimmer switch. The chrome and crystal elements themselves do not affect dimming — compatibility depends entirely on the bulbs and dimmer used.

What wall fixing is needed?

At 1.3kg the Armand requires secure wall fixing. Use screws and rawlplugs into solid masonry, or hollow-wall anchors rated for at least 2kg if fixing to plasterboard. The backplate has keyholes for wall-mounting before the arms and crystals are attached.

How is the crystal maintained?

Dust builds up on crystal facets over time and dulls the reflective effect. Wipe each bead gently with a dry microfibre cloth every few months. For deeper cleaning, a barely-damp cloth with distilled water works, but avoid soaking the metal fittings or getting water inside the lamp sockets.
