Arcus-1 Recessed Linear LED Strip Slot 2m - White Aluminium Trim

The Arcus-1 is a 2m recessed aluminium channel designed to house LED strip lighting behind a white trim and frosted diffuser panel. The channel sits flush-mounted into plasterboard ceilings or walls, creating a continuous linear light slot with no visible fixings or housing once the trim is clipped in place.

Designed for residential hallways, kitchen task lighting, bathroom mirror runs and commercial office ceilings where continuous linear illumination is needed without surface-mounted trunking, the Arcus-1 gives the appearance of light emerging directly from the ceiling or wall plane. The 65mm projection from the mounting surface allows the channel to accommodate LED strips up to 10-12mm wide, with sufficient depth for the driver connections and thermal management. The frosted diffuser spreads the light from individual LED diodes into a continuous glow along the 2m run, eliminating visible hotspots.

The aluminium body acts as a heatsink, drawing heat away from the LED strip and extending the operational life of the LEDs. The white powder-coated trim integrates cleanly into white or light-painted ceilings without needing additional finishing or decoration once installed. Multiple 2m sections can be joined end-to-end to create longer continuous runs, with joins hidden by the trim overlap. The channel accepts standard 12V or 24V LED strip tape (sold separately), giving flexibility to choose the colour temperature, brightness and dimming capability that suits the installation.

What LED strip does it take?

The Arcus-1 accepts standard 12V or 24V LED strip tape up to 10-12mm wide. LED strip is sold separately. Most users pair this with 2835 or 3528 SMD strip at 60 or 120 LEDs per metre, depending on the brightness needed.

How is it installed?

The aluminium channel is recessed into a cut slot in plasterboard ceiling or wall, with the LED strip fixed inside the channel using self-adhesive backing or mounting clips. The white trim then clips onto the channel from below, hiding the cut edges and the strip itself. Professional installation is recommended for first-time users.

Can multiple sections be joined?

Yes. Multiple 2m sections can be joined end-to-end to create longer continuous runs. The LED strip is wired through from one section to the next, and the trim pieces overlap slightly at the join to hide the gap.

Does it include the LED strip or driver?

No. The Arcus-1 is the aluminium housing and trim only. LED strip tape, driver/transformer and any dimming equipment are sold separately and must be specified to suit the installation requirements.
