Arcus-1 Recessed LED Strip Profile 3m White Aluminium Trim

The Arcus-1 is a 3-metre recessed aluminium profile designed to house LED strip lighting in ceilings or walls, creating a flush linear slot with a white trim finish. The profile measures 65mm in projection and sits recessed into the plasterwork, with the trim covering the cut edge of the plaster and providing a clean visual termination for the lighting channel.

Designed for contemporary residential and commercial interiors where continuous linear lighting is needed without surface-mounted fittings, the Arcus-1 suits hallways, kitchen perimeter lighting, feature walls, and retail display areas. The recessed installation means the profile itself sits flush with the ceiling or wall plane, leaving only the trim visible once plastered in. LED strip (sold separately) fits within the internal channel and the white trim masks the cut edge of the plaster opening.

The aluminium construction provides structural rigidity over the 3m length and acts as a heat sink for the LED strip, dissipating thermal build-up that can shorten LED lifespan. The white powder-coated trim integrates into white or light-coloured ceilings without visual contrast, while the 65mm projection accommodates standard-width LED strip up to approximately 10-12mm. Installation requires cutting a linear slot into plasterboard or render, fitting the profile into the void, and plastering up to the trim edge.

Does LED strip come with the profile?

No. The Arcus-1 is the aluminium profile and trim only. LED strip, drivers and connectors are sold separately. The internal channel accommodates LED strip up to approximately 10-12mm width.

What depth of recess is needed in the ceiling or wall?

The 65mm projection means the profile sits 65mm deep into the plaster void. Check ceiling or wall construction allows for this depth before cutting the slot. Shallow voids may require furring out or alternative profiles.

Can it be cut to shorter lengths?

Yes. The 3m aluminium profile can be cut with a hacksaw or mitre saw to fit shorter runs. Wear eye protection and deburr the cut edge before installation.

Is the trim removable once installed?

The trim clips onto the recessed channel and can be removed for access to the LED strip, but this typically requires careful levering to avoid damaging the plaster edge. Plan cable access points during installation to minimise the need to remove the trim later.
