Description

The Arabella is a 171mm diameter pendant light built around a cylindrical gold-finished metal frame with a repeating Moroccan lattice pattern. An ivory linen fabric sleeve sits inside the metal frame, and a glass diffuser at the base softens downward light. The E27 lampholder accepts bulbs up to 60W (sold separately), and the rod stem adjusts from 394mm minimum to 1372mm maximum drop on installation.

Designed as a duo-mount fitting, the Arabella can be installed as a full pendant on the rod stem or converted to a semi-flush ceiling light by removing the stem entirely. This makes it adaptable to rooms with ceiling heights below 2.4m where a hanging pendant would sit too low, or to hallways and corridors where headroom matters. The 254mm fitting height when mounted semi-flush keeps the shade close to the ceiling while the lattice metalwork still casts decorative shadows across the ceiling plane.

The gold finish on the metal frame has a textured, aged patina that reads warmer than polished brass and pairs with traditional, transitional and Mediterranean-influenced interiors. The ivory fabric diffuses the light evenly around the perimeter of the shade, preventing harsh glare while the open lattice allows some direct light to escape upward and outward. The glass diffuser at the base prevents the bulb from being visible when viewed from below, which matters in spaces like dining tables or kitchen islands where the pendant hangs at eye level when seated.

Can this be installed in a room with a 2.3m ceiling?

Yes. The duo-mount design allows the rod stem to be removed entirely, converting the fitting to a semi-flush ceiling light with a 254mm projection from the ceiling. This works well in rooms with ceiling heights below 2.4m where a hanging pendant would interfere with headroom.

What bulb does it take?

The Arabella takes a standard E27 (Edison screw) bulb up to 60W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with a warm-white LED bulb between 6-10W and 2700K-3000K for ambient lighting, or an LED filament bulb for decorative effect through the lattice metalwork.

Is the drop adjustable after installation?

No. The rod stem length is set during installation by shortening the stem to the desired drop height. Once installed, the drop cannot be adjusted without removing the fitting and re-threading the cable through a shorter or longer section of rod.

How is the fabric shade cleaned?

The ivory linen sleeve can be vacuumed gently with a soft brush attachment to remove dust. For more stubborn marks, the shade may need to be removed from the fitting and spot-cleaned with a barely-damp cloth, then air-dried fully before reinstallation. Do not submerge the fabric or use chemical cleaners.
