Aperta Flush Mount Kit for Keypad Door Stations

The Aperta flush mount kit is a metal surround designed to recess ESP Aperta keypad door stations into a wall cavity, creating a flush finish rather than surface-mounted installation. The kit measures 250mm x 140mm x 50mm and provides a frame that holds compatible Aperta door stations level with the wall surface once plaster or render is finished around it.

Designed for new-build installations or renovation projects where cables and back boxes can be recessed into the wall before finishing, the kit suits brick, block and stud walls with sufficient cavity depth. The flush mount approach prevents the door station projecting from the wall, reducing the risk of impact damage in narrow porches or where the panel sits close to a gate or door swing. The metal frame provides structural support and a fixing point for the door station faceplate.

Compatible with three ESP Aperta models: APDSMW (basic keypad panel), APDSSWKP (stainless steel keypad panel) and APDSPXMW (proximity card keypad panel). The kit does not include the door station itself — it is sold separately as a mounting accessory. Which Aperta door stations does this kit fit?

The flush mount kit is compatible with three ESP Aperta keypad models: APDSMW, APDSSWKP and APDSPXMW. It does not fit non-keypad models or other brands of door station.

What wall depth is needed for flush mounting?

The kit requires a wall cavity depth of at least 50mm to fully recess the frame, plus additional depth for the door station unit itself and cable routing. Typical total depth needed is 70-90mm depending on the specific door station model being installed.

Can this be retrofitted to an existing surface-mounted installation?

Retrofitting is possible but involves cutting into the wall to create a recess for the frame, then making good the plaster or render around it. Most installers use flush mount kits only during new-build or major renovation projects where walls are open during first-fix.
