Description

The Aperta video door entry kit combines a 7" white TFT monitor with an outdoor keypad station, allowing two-way audio and video communication with visitors plus code-entry door release. The outdoor station houses a colour camera, integrated speaker and microphone, and a 12-key numeric pad for PIN-based unlocking without needing to answer the door. The monitor displays a clear colour image and connects to the outdoor unit via simple two-core cable, reducing installation complexity compared to multi-wire systems.

Designed for residential front doors, side gates and trade entrances where controlled access is needed, the kit suits new builds and retrofit installations. The single 24V power supply (included) supports the monitor and outdoor station, plus up to three additional monitors or door stations if expanded later, giving flexibility for multi-room or multi-entrance setups without needing separate power runs. The 7" hands-free monitor allows conversation without lifting a handset, and the door release function can be activated from the monitor or by entering a valid PIN at the keypad.

The outdoor station carries an IP55 rating, protecting against dust ingress and water jets from any direction, making it suitable for exposed porches and open-gate positions. The white finish on both the monitor and outdoor unit pairs with contemporary and minimalist exterior schemes. What cable type is needed for installation?

The system uses simple two-core cable to connect the monitor to the outdoor station. The power supply connects to standard 230V mains. Full wiring diagrams are in the installation manual (Downloads tab).

Can I add more monitors or door stations later?

Yes. The included power supply supports up to five devices total (monitors and outdoor stations combined), allowing expansion to cover additional rooms or entrances without needing a second power supply.

Is the outdoor station weatherproof?

The outdoor unit carries an IP55 rating, protecting against dust and water jets. It is suitable for exposed porches, covered doorways and open-gate positions, but should not be installed in positions subject to direct heavy rain or standing water.

How does the keypad unlocking work?

A PIN code is programmed into the system during installation. Visitors can enter the code on the outdoor keypad to trigger the door release without needing to be let in from the monitor. The door release function can also be activated from the monitor during a call.
