Description

The Andrea is a three-light bar pendant with spherical antique brass shades suspended from an 840mm linear canopy. Each dome shade is divided horizontally by a band of faceted crystal that wraps the equator of the sphere, creating a reflective accent between the upper and lower brass sections. The three pendants hang on adjustable cables from a rectangular antique brass ceiling plate, with each shade housing a single E27 bulb (sold separately).

Designed for dining tables, kitchen islands and open-plan living areas, the Andrea suits ceiling heights of 2.4m or above and works over surfaces 1.6-2.2m wide. The 840mm spread of the canopy means the three pendants distribute light across the width of a typical six-seater dining table or a medium kitchen island. The drop is adjustable between 350mm and 1850mm on installation, allowing the pendants to be set 700-800mm above the table surface for optimal task and ambient lighting without obstructing sightlines.

The antique brass finish has a satin, low-sheen surface rather than a high polish, giving it a warmer, aged tone that pairs with traditional oak, walnut and darker wood furniture as well as with industrial and mid-century interiors. The faceted crystal band catches and refracts light both from the bulbs inside the shades and from daylight in the room, adding a decorative accent without overwhelming the brass metalwork. Each shade measures approximately 190mm in diameter, providing enough visual weight to anchor the fitting over a table without dominating smaller dining spaces.

The Andrea takes three E27 (Edison screw) bulbs up to 60W each, sold separately. Most users pair this with warm-white LED bulbs between 6-10W and 2700K-3000K for dining table or kitchen island lighting.

Is it dimmable?

Yes, provided you use dimmable E27 bulbs and pair the fitting with a compatible dimmer switch. The pendant itself has no integrated dimming mechanism — dimming is controlled at the wall switch or via smart bulbs.

What table size does it suit?

The 840mm canopy width suits dining tables 1.6-2.2m wide (typically six-seater) or kitchen islands of similar length. For larger tables, consider pairing two Andrea pendants end-to-end or selecting a longer bar pendant from the Diyas range.

How is the drop adjusted?

The three cables pass through the ceiling canopy and are clamped inside. On installation, an electrician releases the clamps, adjusts the cable length to the desired drop height, and re-secures them. This is a one-time adjustment during fitting, not a user-adjustable feature.
