Description

These grey polycarbonate end caps seal the open ends of Knightsbridge 1MPLA and 2MPLA aluminium plaster-in LED profiles. Each pack contains two caps, enough to close both ends of a single profile run or one end of two separate runs.

Designed for recessed LED strip installations where the profile is plastered flush to the wall or ceiling, the end caps sit inside the aluminium channel and create a finished edge at termination points. The grey polycarbonate finish blends with the profile interior and disappears once the surround is plastered and painted. The caps prevent plaster, filler and paint from entering the open ends of the profile during finishing work.

The polycarbonate construction is lightweight, impact-resistant and does not warp or split during installation. Each cap press-fits into the open end of the compatible profile without requiring adhesive or fixings, and can be removed if access to the LED strip wiring is needed after installation. The caps sit flush with the profile edge, allowing the plaster skim to be taken up to the very end of the recess.

These end caps fit Knightsbridge 1MPLA and 2MPLA aluminium plaster-in profiles. They will not fit surface-mount or corner-mount profiles from other ranges.

How many caps are in the pack?

Two end caps per pack. You will need one pack to seal both ends of a single profile run, or two packs to seal a run with a join in the middle where both profile sections terminate.

Do the caps need to be glued in place?

No. The caps press-fit into the open end of the profile and hold by friction. This allows them to be removed later if you need access to the LED strip wiring or need to extend the run.

Can the caps be painted over?

The grey polycarbonate can be painted with emulsion or masonry paint to match the surrounding wall finish. The cap sits recessed inside the profile, so most of its surface is hidden once the plaster skim is complete.
