Description

The Alexandra Tall is a 440mm vertical crystal wall light built around three E14 bulb fittings, a polished chrome frame and cascading strands of clear cut crystal droplets. Two curved bands of densely packed crystal beads frame the top and middle sections, with longer faceted drops suspended below. The chrome mounting plate and internal frame are polished to a mirror finish, amplifying reflections and light scatter when the bulbs are lit.

Designed for positions where vertical space is available — staircases, landing walls, hallway feature walls and either side of tall mirrors — the fitting adds both ambient light and decorative interest. The 160mm projection from the wall places the crystals approximately 100mm forward of the mounting plate, creating depth and visible layering from the side. The 2.7kg weight requires secure fixing into solid masonry or a timber stud rather than plasterboard alone.

Each crystal element is either Asfour or Diyas-cut lead crystal, both of which refract light into spectrum colours when struck by direct bulb output. The density of crystal coverage increases towards the curved bands, creating zones of higher refraction and sparkle. The chrome finish pairs cleanly with modern and transitional interiors, while the cascading crystal form references classical chandelier design without the horizontal spread.

What bulb does it take?

The Alexandra Tall uses three E14 (small Edison screw) candle bulbs, each rated up to 60W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with warm-white LED candle bulbs between 4-6W and 2700K-3000K to balance light output with energy consumption.

Is it dimmable?

Yes, if fitted with dimmable bulbs. The fitting itself has no integrated dimmer, so dimmer compatibility depends on the bulbs chosen and the wall dimmer switch installed on the circuit.

What wall fixing is needed?

At 2.7kg the Alexandra Tall requires secure fixing into solid masonry with wall plugs and screws, or into a timber stud. Plasterboard alone will not support the weight safely. The chrome mounting plate conceals the fixings once installed.

How is the crystal cleaned?

Switch off at the mains and allow bulbs to cool fully. Wipe each crystal element with a dry microfibre cloth to remove dust. For more thorough cleaning, individual droplets can be unhooked from the frame, wiped with a barely-damp cloth and distilled water, dried fully and re-hung.
