The Alexandra is a 260mm crystal wall light with two E14 bulb fittings mounted behind a layered arrangement of clear crystal spheres and hexagonal drops on a polished chrome backplate. The crystal elements are a mix of Asfour and Diyas cut crystal, chosen for how they refract and scatter light across adjacent wall surfaces when lit.

Designed for hallways, bedrooms, and living room accent positions where wall space is limited, the 160mm projection keeps the fitting clear of doorways and circulation routes while the 190mm height provides vertical scale. The two-bulb configuration suits positions where the wall light provides secondary or ambient lighting rather than the primary room illumination. Pairs well with matching Alexandra pendants or ceiling fittings where a coordinated scheme is needed.

The polished chrome frame and fittings reflect surrounding light and pair cleanly with cooler-toned interiors, while the clear crystal works equally well in both warm and cool colour schemes. The hexagonal drops hang freely and will move slightly in air currents, creating shifting light patterns on the wall. At 1.6kg the fitting needs secure fixing to a solid wall or into a stud position on plasterboard.

What bulbs does it take?

The Alexandra uses two E14 small Edison screw bulbs, each up to 60W maximum. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users fit LED candle bulbs between 4-6W in warm white (2700K-3000K) for ambient lighting, or clear filament-style LEDs for a more decorative look through the crystal.

Is it dimmable?

Yes, provided you fit dimmable E14 bulbs and connect the wall light to a compatible dimmer switch. Standard non-dimmable LED bulbs will flicker or fail if used with a dimmer.

How is the crystal cleaned?

Switch off and allow bulbs to cool. Remove dust with a dry microfibre cloth. For deeper cleaning, wipe each crystal element individually with a barely-damp cloth and distilled water, then dry immediately with a lint-free cloth. Avoid sprays or chemical cleaners which can leave residue.

Can it be fitted to plasterboard walls?

At 1.6kg the fitting needs secure fixing. On plasterboard, fix into a stud position or use plasterboard anchors rated to at least 3kg. On solid brick or block walls, standard wall plugs and screws are sufficient.
