Description

The Alexandra is a 770mm diameter crystal chandelier with 18 E14 bulb positions arranged across two tiers on a polished chrome frame. The upper tier forms a narrow cone draped with vertical crystal strands that cascade from a chrome band at the top, while the lower tier consists of a wider horizontal ring supporting further crystal droplets and vertical crystal rods. Each of the 18 bulbs (sold separately) sits behind the crystal elements, causing light to refract through the cut glass as it travels outward.

Designed for dining rooms, double-height entrance halls and living rooms with ceiling heights of 2.7m or above, the Alexandra combines the visual mass of a traditional chandelier with a more controlled footprint than full-scale palace models. The 1100mm minimum drop positions the lower tier approximately 1.6-1.8m above floor level in a standard 2.7m room, or can be extended up to 2600mm on the adjustable chain to suit taller ceilings. The 27kg weight requires a reinforced ceiling rose or joist fixing rather than a standard plasterboard anchor.

The polished chrome finish reflects both ambient daylight and the chandelier's own light output, creating a cooler tonal palette than brass or gold equivalents.
