Additions E27 Lampholder 57mm - Black

This is a plain black E27 holder with a shade ring worked into the body, so a shade with a matching collar sits straight onto it. The ring measures 57mm across, the size a great many shades are made to take, so an existing shade will often drop straight on. The body is short and unfussy, with no visible clutter, and the black keeps it discreet against a dark flex or a dark shade lining.

We keep these on the shelf for the everyday jobs: making up a hanging pendant with a chosen shade, putting a tired table lamp back into service, or matching a row of holders so a set of shades sits at the same size. It takes an ordinary E27 lamp, so filament, globe and standard shapes are all open to you. Anyone building their own lighting from parts will find it does the job without drawing attention to itself, and it is one we suggest when the shade is meant to be the thing you notice.

The black finish runs over the whole holder, ring included, so nothing bright peeps out from under the shade. Keep it to dry rooms indoors, away from bathroom zones and anywhere steam gathers. For care, turn the power off at the switch, let the lamp cool, then run a dry cloth around the body and ring; polishes and solvents will only mark the finish, so leave them in the cupboard. Dust settles on the ring more than the body, so that is where to start. It carries a three year warranty. Switch off at the wall, let any lamp cool, then wipe the body and ring with a dry cloth. Avoid polishes, sprays and solvents, which can dull the black finish.
