Description

One bayonet lampholder becomes five screw ones. Each E27 holder sits on a short arm that swivels and tilts, so you can fan the lamps outwards, drop them downwards or bring them close together. Everything is white, body and arms alike, and the arms sit within a 15cm circle at full spread, which keeps it small enough to sit inside a shade without showing. It is not dimmable, so it works from a plain wall switch.

We reach for one of these when a shade is too wide for a single lamp to fill properly, or when several small LED lamps suit a room better than one bright one. It sits happily inside a hallway drum, a wide dining pendant or a paper globe, and it gives that bare-lamp cluster look on its own if you like the arms on show. It is a sensible pick where a room needs more light than one lamp gives, without new fittings. It is not switched, so control stays wherever it already is.

The finish is a flat white across the shell and each arm, which lets it vanish against a pale shade lining rather than reading as hardware. It is double insulated, and it belongs in dry indoor rooms, away from bathrooms and anywhere damp. Keep it dust free with a dry cloth, working with the lamps out and the circuit off at the switch, and take care not to force the arms past where they want to go. It carries a three year warranty. We also stock a three-way version of the same holder for narrower shades, plus plain single E27 lampholders in black and white, cable grips and ready-made leads in the same range. Lamps are not included.
