Adastra LA-600 mkII Rack Induction Loop Amplifier

The Adastra LA-600 mkII is an induction loop amplifier built to drive a cable loop around a room, giving assisted listening for hearing aid users. It works with most standard hearing aids and suits public and commercial buildings where clear sound matters. The unit fits a standard 19" rack, so it sits neatly alongside other equipment in an installation.

Three mic/line channels each have their own phantom power switch and mic/line level switch, so you can connect a mix of microphones and line sources. Front panel controls are adjusted with a screwdriver, covering channel volume, bass, treble and loop current level. These tamper proof controls help keep settings fixed once the system is set up. Channel 1 can be given priority, which is handy for announcements over other audio. Adjustable metal loss correction lets you compensate for metalwork in the building that would otherwise affect loop performance.

A peak current LED shows when the loop is running near its limit, and alarm contacts allow a built-in siren to sound if needed. The amplifier runs from 110/240Vac at 50/60Hz through an IEC connection. Frequency response is 50Hz to 5kHz (±3dB), with line input sensitivity of -6dBu into 6k Ohms and mic sensitivity of -56dBu into 2k Ohms. Signal to noise ratio is 75dB on line inputs and 60dB on mic inputs, with THD below 1%.
