Description

The ESP CAB-40 is a 40-metre pre-terminated CCTV camera cable that combines RG59 coaxial video cable and two-core power cable in a single outer jacket. One end terminates in a BNC connector for the video signal and a DC power lead, allowing a single cable run to carry both video from the camera and power to the camera without needing separate cables.

Designed for analogue CCTV installations in residential, commercial and light industrial settings, the 40m length suits runs from a camera positioned on a building perimeter or car park back to a central DVR or power supply unit. The combined cable construction simplifies installation compared to running separate video and power cables, reduces visible cable runs on external walls, and eliminates the need to terminate BNC connectors on site.

The RG59 coaxial core carries composite video signals from analogue CCTV cameras rated at 720p or lower resolution. The two-core power cable typically handles 12V DC supply to the camera, though compatibility depends on the camera's power requirements. The outer jacket protects both cables from moisture and UV when run externally, though the cable is not rated for direct burial and should be clipped to walls or run through conduit where exposed to weather.

Frequently Asked

What video resolution does this cable support?

The RG59 coaxial core supports analogue CCTV video signals at resolutions up to 720p. It is not designed for HD-TVI, HD-CVI or IP camera systems, which require different cable specifications.

Can this cable be used outdoors?

The outer jacket provides weather resistance when the cable is clipped to external walls or run through conduit. It is not rated for direct burial in soil and should not be left lying on the ground where water can pool around it.

What power voltage does the cable carry?

The two-core power cable typically carries 12V DC supply to the camera. Check your camera's power requirements before use — some cameras require 24V AC or PoE, which this cable does not support.

Are the connectors already fitted?

Yes. The cable is pre-terminated with a BNC connector for the video signal and separate power leads at both ends, eliminating the need for on-site termination or soldering.
