Copper across the plate, chrome at the knobs, and four separate rotary dimmers on a screwless front. Each knob turns its own lighting circuit up or down, so a room lit in layers can be set without reaching for anything else. The rating is 100W per channel with dimmable LED lamps, which covers most household arrangements of pendants, wall lights and recessed fittings. It can also be used where a light is controlled from more than one position.

The body is moulded ABS finished in copper, with chrome knobs for contrast, and it is double insulated. The knobs are the same chrome throughout, which keeps the plate from reading too warm in a bright room. Cleaning wants nothing more than a soft dry cloth; sprays, wipes and cream cleaners will dull a copper finish faster than anything else in the house. It carries a ten year warranty. Copper looks its best against warm paint, oak and darker cabinetry, and we would match the sockets and any other plates on that wall so the finish reads as deliberate.

How much lighting load will each knob handle?

Each of the four channels is rated at 100W with dimmable LED lamps. Keep every lamp on a given channel dimmable, as non-dimmable LEDs on a dimmed circuit tend to flicker or buzz.

Can it control a light from two places in the room?

Yes. It is a 2 way dimmer, so a circuit can be operated from a second switching position as well as from this plate.

What is the plate made from, and how big is it?

How do I keep the copper looking right?

A soft dry cloth is all it needs. Avoid household sprays, alcohol wipes and abrasive creams, which take the shine off plated finishes quickly.

Is it suitable for a bathroom or a covered porch?

No. It is rated IP20 and intended for dry indoor rooms only, away from steam and splashes.
