Description
Three amber glass globes sit in a row beneath a shallow satin nickel plate, held close to the ceiling so the whole fitting reads as a low band of light rather than a cluster of separate lamps. The glass is a warm honey tone that deepens where it curves, and each globe is open at the mouth, so light falls straight down as well as glowing through the tinted walls. At 40cm across it covers a good span without dropping below the ceiling line.
We reach for this one where a pendant would hang too low: hallways and landings, a bedroom under a low ceiling, or a compact dining corner where headroom is tight. It takes E27 lamps, and since the shade colour does much of the work here, we would choose a clear or lightly gold-tinted lamp rather than a white-coated one. Fit dimmable lamps and a compatible dimmer and the amber deepens pleasantly as the level drops, which suits sitting rooms in the evening.
The metalwork wears a satin nickel finish, a soft brushed sheen that sits quietly against the glass and shows marks far less readily than polished chrome. Wipe the globes with a barely damp cloth once the lamps have gone cold, dust the nickel dry, and keep abrasives and sprays away from the lampholders. It carries a one year warranty. The wider range runs to much smaller versions in antique gold and polished chrome, with shade shapes from slim curved trapeziums to wine and dimpled forms, and glass in opal, smoke, green and iridescent as well as amber, so a hall and a cloakroom can share the same look at different scales. Lamps are not included.

Frequently Asked
Which lamps should I use?
It takes three E27 lamps rated up to 20W each, and LED is the sensible choice. Because the amber glass is visible, a clear or gold-tinted lamp looks best behind it. Lamps are supplied separately.
Can it be dimmed?
Yes, provided you use dimmable lamps together with a dimmer switch matched to them. A dimmer is not supplied with the fitting.
How much space does it need on the ceiling?
It measures 400mm in diameter and projects just 90mm, so it suits ceilings where a hanging light would be in the way.
How do I keep the amber glass looking clear?
Switch off and let the glass cool, then use a soft cloth, barely damp, and dry it straight after. Avoid abrasive creams and glass sprays, which can dull the tint and the satin nickel.
Is it suitable for a bathroom?
No. It is rated IP20 for dry indoor rooms, so keep it to halls, bedrooms and living spaces rather than bathroom zones or covered outdoor areas.
What is the shade shape?
Round globes with an open mouth, three of them set beneath the ceiling plate, giving downward light as well as a warm glow through the glass.
