Description

This Knightsbridge 2m HDMI 2.1 cable connects 8K displays, 4K gaming consoles, streaming devices and AV receivers using Ultra High Speed HDMI-A to HDMI-A connectors. The cable supports 8K resolution at 60Hz, 4K at 120Hz, and carries 48Gbps bandwidth for uncompressed video and audio over a single run.

Designed for home cinema, gaming setups and AV installations where 8K or high-refresh 4K displays are paired with next-generation consoles (PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X), 8K media players, or discrete graphics cards capable of driving those resolutions. The 2m length suits TV wall mounts, soundbar connections, and short runs between stacked AV components in a rack or console without excess slack. The cable also supports HDMI ARC (Audio Return Channel) for feeding TV audio back to a soundbar or receiver without a separate optical cable.

The nylon-braided sheath resists kinking and abrasion better than smooth PVC jackets, and the overmoulded strain relief at each connector reduces cable failure at the plug entry point. Gold-plated contacts on both HDMI plugs maintain conductivity and resist oxidation over repeated insertions. The cable carries HDMI 2.1 certification and HDCP 2.2 compliance, ensuring compatibility with protected 4K and 8K content from streaming services and UHD Blu-ray.

Frequently Asked

Does this cable support 4K at 120Hz for gaming?

Yes. The cable is HDMI 2.1 certified with 48Gbps bandwidth, which supports 4K at 120Hz and Variable Refresh Rate (VRR) for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and PC gaming at high refresh rates.

Is it backwards compatible with older HDMI versions?

Yes. The cable works with HDMI 2.0, 1.4 and earlier devices, though the maximum resolution and refresh rate will be limited by the older device's capabilities rather than the cable itself.

Can it carry audio back from a TV to a soundbar?

Yes. The cable supports HDMI ARC (Audio Return Channel), allowing TV audio to be sent back to a connected soundbar or AV receiver without needing a separate optical cable.

What's the difference between this and a standard HDMI cable?

Standard HDMI cables (often labelled 'High Speed') typically support up to 18Gbps and max out at 4K 60Hz. This Ultra High Speed cable carries 48Gbps, enabling 8K 60Hz, 4K 120Hz, and higher dynamic range formats required by HDMI 2.1 devices.
