Description

The Knightsbridge 2-gang grid faceplate is an 86mm square white plate designed to house two curved-edge grid modules from Knightsbridge's modular grid system. The plate is moulded from thermoset resin with curved edges that match the profile of Knightsbridge's Curved Edge switches and sockets range, creating a consistent finish across mixed installations.

Designed for residential, hospitality and office installations where custom switch configurations are needed, the grid system allows different module types (switches, sockets, data ports, dimmers) to be combined on a single faceplate. This 2-gang plate provides two module apertures, each sized to take a standard grid module sold separately. Screw cap covers are included to conceal the fixing screws once the plate is installed.

The thermoset resin construction provides impact resistance and dimensional stability under heat from high-load circuits. The white finish carries anti-microbial properties tested to ISO 22196:2011, making it suitable for clinical, food preparation and high-hygiene environments. The 7mm projection from the wall keeps the plate profile low once fitted to a standard back box. The IP20 rating restricts use to dry indoor locations only.

What grid modules fit this faceplate?

The faceplate accepts two Knightsbridge curved-edge grid modules sold separately. These include grid switches, sockets, dimmer modules, data ports and blanking plates from the Curved Edge grid range. Standard grid modules from other ranges will not fit the curved aperture profile.

What back box is required?

An 86mm square back box with a minimum depth of 25mm is required. The grid modules themselves may require additional depth depending on the module type, so check individual module specifications before installation.

Are the screw cap covers included?

Yes. Screw cap covers are supplied with the faceplate to conceal the fixing screws once the plate is installed, giving a clean finish without visible fixings on the wall.

Can this be used in bathrooms?

The IP20 rating restricts use to dry indoor locations. It cannot be used within bathroom zones where water ingress is possible. For bathroom installations, a higher IP-rated grid faceplate is required.
