Description

A switched double socket with USB charging built into the same plate, so a phone or a tablet can be topped up without giving up either socket. The USB-A and USB-C ports share a combined 65W output, which is enough for a laptop on the C side, or for smaller devices charging together. Each 13A socket has its own chrome rocker switch, set into a screwless light grey face that sits flat and unbroken across the front with no fixing screws on show.

We reach for these where charging goes on all day: a kitchen worktop where the phone always ends up, a desk in a home office, either side of a bed, or a hall table by the front door. The light grey face reads softer than brilliant white against grey and greige paint, warm plaster shades and pale timber, which makes it a quiet choice in a room where you would rather the wiring accessories stayed in the background. The face is moulded polycarbonate with metal internals, and it is an earthed accessory made for indoor rooms running on ordinary household mains, so keep it to dry spaces well clear of a bath, a shower or a sink splash zone. The two ports share a 65W output between them, so a USB-C laptop or tablet can draw a useful amount. Bear in mind that the more you have plugged into the USB ports, the more that 65W is divided.
