Description

A pair of switched 13A power points sit on one flat screwless plate, with a USB-A port and a USB-C port set below them and up to 45W shared between the two. The plate is light grey with chrome detail, and the rocker switches give the click you want when you are turning off a kettle or an iron. Because the charging is built in, the sockets stay free for appliances rather than being taken up by a plug-in charger.

We reach for this one in kitchens, home offices and bedsides, anywhere phones, tablets and headphones compete with the toaster or the lamp for room. The USB-C side suits newer phones and laptops, while USB-A keeps older cables useful. It works as well for a full rewire as for swapping a single tired plate, and the light grey reads softly against pale walls, grey cabinetry and painted timber without the glare of gloss white.
