A 25mm minimum back box depth is needed for safe installation. The faceplate adds 10.5mm of projection from the wall once fitted.

What is the difference between trailing-edge and leading-edge modes?

Trailing-edge suits most modern LED drivers and electronic transformers. Leading-edge suits older magnetic transformers and some halogen systems. The dimmer ships in trailing-edge mode and can be switched to leading-edge from the front plate if needed.

Can I mix LED and halogen bulbs on the same gang?

No. Each gang should control a single lamp type and brand. Mixing different lamp technologies or brands on one circuit can cause flickering, buzzing or dimmer failure.
