The Knightsbridge 13A 1-gang unswitched socket provides a single 13A outlet behind a matt black screwless faceplate with a matching black insert. The unswitched design means the outlet is permanently live once wired, making it suitable for appliances that need constant power — fridge-freezers, network routers, alarm systems — or locations where switching at the socket is not required.

Designed for residential and light commercial installation, the socket fits a standard 25mm minimum back box depth and uses a screwless cover plate that clips onto a separate metal sub-frame. This removes visible screws or fixings from the wall once installed, giving a cleaner finish than traditional screw-fixed plates. The 4.3mm projection from the wall keeps the profile low against skirting boards and in tight spaces behind furniture.

The matt black finish is a powder-coated steel that resists fingerprints and surface scratching better than gloss black finishes, and pairs well with contemporary, industrial and minimalist interiors. The black insert behind the faceplate hides the back of the cover plate and gives a defined edge to the outlet aperture. A built-in gasket between the plate and the wall reduces dust ingress during installation and gives a tight seal against painted or wallpapered surfaces.
