Description

This Knightsbridge strip-to-strip connector joins two lengths of 8mm single-colour LED flex without soldering, using a click-fit mechanism on each end of a 150mm cable. The connector accepts 12V or 24V DC LED strip and maintains continuity across the join, allowing continuous runs where a gap or corner requires two separate strip sections to be linked.

Designed for interior installations where LED flex needs to turn a corner, bridge a gap between cabinets, or connect two reels into a longer run, the connector fits 8mm-wide single-colour LED flex only (not suitable for RGB or dual-white strip). The 150mm cable length between the two clips provides enough slack to route the connection behind a pelmet, inside a cabinet frame, or along the back of a display shelf without visible strain on the strip.

The polycarbonate housing measures 132mm long overall with an 11mm width and 4.5mm projection from the strip surface once clipped in place. The IP20 rating suits dry interior use in living rooms, kitchens, retail displays, and office accent lighting. The black finish blends into the gap between LED sections and stays discrete against dark surfaces or behind diffusers.

Frequently Asked

What width LED strip does this fit?

This connector is designed for 8mm-wide single-colour LED flex only. It will not fit 10mm or 12mm strip, and it is not compatible with RGB or dual-white LED flex that requires more than two conductors.

Does it require soldering?

No. The connector uses a click-fit mechanism at each end. The LED strip slides into the clip and locks in place, making contact with the internal conductors without any soldering or crimping.

Can it be used outdoors?

No. The IP20 rating means the connector is suitable for dry interior locations only. For outdoor or damp environments, an IP65 or IP67-rated connector is required.

What is the 150mm cable for?

The 150mm cable between the two clips allows the connector to bridge a gap, turn a corner, or link two sections of LED strip where a direct join is not possible. This length provides routing flexibility without visible strain on the strip.
