Description

This Knightsbridge wire-to-strip connector joins a power cable to single-colour 8mm LED flex without soldering or terminal blocks. The polycarbonate housing accepts the flex on one side and a pair of power wires on the other, using a click-lock mechanism to secure both and establish electrical contact through internal spring-loaded pins.

Designed for 12V or 24V DC low-voltage LED strip installations in cabinets, shelving, display cases and cove lighting, the connector allows power cables to be run to the strip without cutting or stripping the flex's copper tracks. The IP20 rating restricts use to dry indoor locations. The 19mm x 12mm x 7mm housing sits flat against the strip, minimising projection where the strip is mounted in narrow channels or under-cabinet recesses.

The black polycarbonate finish blends into most installation environments where the connector will be visible. The Class III rating confirms the connector is suitable only for extra-low-voltage circuits below 50V AC or 120V DC. Installation requires no tools — the flex and wires push into their respective openings and the housing clicks shut to hold them in place.

Frequently Asked

What width of LED strip does it fit?

This connector is designed for 8mm-wide single-colour LED flex. It will not fit wider 10mm RGB strips or narrower 5mm variants. Check your strip's width before ordering.

Can it be used outdoors or in bathrooms?

No. The IP20 rating means the connector is suitable only for dry indoor locations with no exposure to moisture or dust ingress. For wet or damp environments an IP65 or IP67 connector is required.

Does it work with both 12V and 24V strips?

Yes. The connector is compatible with both 12V and 24V DC LED flex. Ensure the voltage of your power supply matches the voltage rating of your strip — the connector itself does not convert voltage.

Is soldering required?

No. The connector uses a tool-free click-lock mechanism. The LED flex and power wires push into their respective openings and the housing clicks shut to establish contact through internal spring pins.
