Description

The Knightsbridge LFCON2P is a strip-to-strip connector for linking 8mm single-colour LED flex strips end-to-end without soldering. Rated for 12V or 24V DC operation, each connector uses a click-fit mechanism that grips the copper contact pads on each strip end and holds them in place inside a white polycarbonate housing measuring 20mm x 11mm x 4.5mm projection from the strip face.

Designed for accent lighting, under-cabinet runs, shelf lighting and display cases where a single reel of LED flex needs to be joined to another to extend the run or change direction, the connector eliminates the need for soldering skills or crimping tools. The strips slide into opposing sides of the connector housing, and the internal spring contacts press against the copper pads to complete the circuit. The IP20 rating suits dry indoor environments only.

The pack of two connectors covers a single join plus a spare, or two separate joins in larger installations. The white polycarbonate finish blends against white or neutral-toned surfaces, and the 4.5mm profile sits low enough to be concealed under shelving, behind pelmets or inside aluminium extrusion channels designed for LED flex. Class III construction means the connectors operate at extra-low voltage (below 50V AC / 120V DC) and do not require earthing.

Does this work with RGB or colour-changing LED strip?

No. This connector is for single-colour LED flex only (strips with two copper contact pads). RGB and RGBW strips require connectors with four or five contact points to handle separate colour channels.

Do I need to solder the LED strip into the connector?

No. The connector uses a tool-free click mechanism. The LED flex slides into the housing and internal spring contacts press against the copper pads on the strip to complete the circuit.

What width of LED strip does it fit?

The connector is sized for 8mm-wide single-colour LED flex. Strips of other widths (10mm, 12mm) will not fit this housing.

Can this be used outdoors or in bathrooms?

No. The IP20 rating means the connector is suitable for dry indoor environments only. It is not protected against moisture ingress and should not be used in bathrooms, kitchens near sinks, or any outdoor application.
