12V/24V IP65 LED Flex Strip to Strip 150mm Connector - CCT/RGB

This IP65-rated strip-to-strip connector joins two sections of 12V or 24V CCT or RGB LED flex strip with a 150mm cable bridge between them. The connector accommodates 12mm-wide LED flex and uses a polycarbonate housing with clip-in terminals at each end, allowing LED strips to be linked across gaps, around corners, or between separate installation zones without cutting and soldering.

Designed for under-cabinet lighting, retail display installations, and indoor architectural lighting where LED strips cannot run continuously, the 150mm cable length provides enough slack to route the connection behind shelving, around cabinet frames, or through concealed channels. The IP65 rating protects the connection against dust ingress and low-pressure water jets, making the connector suitable for kitchen splashback areas, bathroom mirror lighting, and sheltered outdoor signage where occasional moisture exposure occurs.

The click-fit connection mechanism grips the copper contact pads on the LED strip without requiring soldering or crimping tools. Each end of the connector has a hinged polycarbonate cover that clips down over the strip once it's positioned, securing the electrical contact and providing strain relief on the cable. For installations where full IP65 protection must be maintained across the join, Knightsbridge recommends sealing the clip-in covers with silicone adhesive (sold separately) to prevent moisture wicking under the cover during cleaning or condensation events.

The 190mm total length (including both connector housings and the 150mm cable run) adds minimal projection to the installation. The connector fits behind typical kitchen plinths, inside aluminium LED profiles, and within shallow display case channels where space is limited. The black polycarbonate finish blends into dark surfaces and shadow gaps, reducing visual impact when the connector is partially exposed.

What width LED strip does this connector fit?

The connector is designed for 12mm-wide LED flex strip. It is compatible with Knightsbridge LFC24IPxx series RGB and CCT strips, but will also work with other brands' 12mm flex strips that use the same contact pad spacing.

Does the IP65 rating require additional sealing?

The connector carries an IP65 rating out of the box, but Knightsbridge recommends applying silicone adhesive around the clip-in covers to maintain full IP protection in wet environments such as bathroom mirror lighting or outdoor sheltered installations.

Can this connector be used outdoors?

Yes, but only in sheltered locations. The IP65 rating protects against dust and low-pressure water jets (rain, splashes), but the connector should not be submerged or exposed to standing water. Suitable for covered patio lighting, signage under canopies, or recessed outdoor alcoves.

Is soldering required?

No. The connector uses a click-fit mechanism where the LED strip is inserted into the terminal housing and secured by a hinged polycarbonate cover. No tools or soldering are needed, though a small screwdriver may help to open the cover on some units.
