Description

The Knightsbridge 10AX 3-gang 2-way switch provides independent control of three separate lighting circuits behind a matt white screwless faceplate with matching metal rockers. Each rocker is rated at 10A on 230V mains, handling up to 2,300W per circuit for standard residential and light commercial lighting loads.

Designed for rooms with multiple lighting zones — living rooms with ceiling lights, wall lights and accent lighting, or open-plan kitchens with separate circuits for worktop lighting, island pendants and ambient ceiling lights — the 2-way switching allows each circuit to be controlled from this switch and a second switch elsewhere in the room. The screwless cover plate clips onto a separate metal sub-frame fixed to the back box, leaving no visible screws or fixings on the wall once installed.

The faceplate is made from premium-grade steel with a matt white powder-coated finish that resists fingerprints and pairs comfortably with white walls, neutral interiors and contemporary schemes. A built-in gasket between the cover plate and sub-frame provides IP20-rated protection against dust ingress. The 16mm minimum mounting box depth makes this switch compatible with shallow back boxes in dry-lined walls and stud partitions where deeper boxes are difficult to fit.

2-way switching allows a lighting circuit to be controlled from two separate switch locations. For example, you can install this 3-gang switch at the room entrance and a matching 3-gang 2-way switch at the opposite end of the room, giving independent control of the same three circuits from both positions.

What's the maximum load per gang?

Each gang is rated at 10A on 230V mains, which handles up to 2,300W per circuit. This is suitable for multiple LED downlights, standard ceiling lights, wall lights and most domestic lighting loads. Do not exceed 10A per individual gang.

Is the screwless plate removable for redecorating?
