Description
The Knightsbridge 10AX 2-gang 2-way switch provides dual lighting control from two locations behind a matt black screwless faceplate with matching black metal rockers. The 2-way configuration allows the same light circuit to be switched from either end of a hallway, stairwell or room with multiple entry points, with each rocker controlling an independent circuit.
Designed for residential and commercial installations requiring a contemporary low-profile finish, the switch sits just 4.3mm proud of the wall once fitted. The screwless cover plate clips onto a separate metal sub-frame fixed to the back box, so there are no visible screws or fixings on the finished wall. The 10AX rating handles loads up to 2,300W per gang on standard 230V circuits, suitable for LED, halogen and incandescent lighting loads.
The faceplate is constructed from premium-grade steel with a matt black powder-coated finish that minimises fingerprints and reflections. The matching black metal rockers give a monochromatic finish that pairs with industrial, contemporary and minimalist interiors. A built-in gasket behind the faceplate provides IP20-rated moisture resistance for dry indoor use, and the shallow 16mm minimum back box depth allows installation in partition walls and retrofit applications where deeper boxes are impractical.

Frequently Asked
What does 2-way mean?
A 2-way switch allows the same light circuit to be controlled from two different locations. This is typically used in hallways, staircases and rooms with multiple entry points, where you need to turn the lights on or off from either end. Each of the two rockers on this switch controls a separate circuit independently.
What back box depth is required?
A minimum 16mm back box depth is needed for safe installation. This shallow depth makes the switch suitable for partition walls and retrofit installations where deeper back boxes are difficult to fit. The screwless cover plate adds 4.3mm of projection from the wall once installed.
Is the screwless plate removable for redecorating?
Yes. The cover plate clips onto a separate metal sub-frame fixed to the back box. The cover can be removed for painting around the switch and re-clipped without disconnecting any wiring.
What other finishes are available in this range?
Knightsbridge produces this switch style in a range of finishes including polished chrome, brushed chrome, polished brass, antique brass and white. Use the search function or filters to find other variants in stock at Niori.
