Description

The Knightsbridge 10AX 1-gang intermediate switch provides three-point control for lighting circuits, allowing a single light to be switched on or off from three different wall positions. Housed in a polished brass screwless faceplate, the switch carries a 10AX rating (2,300W on 230V) and uses a matching polished brass metal rocker.

Designed for staircases, long hallways and large landings where lighting needs to be controlled from more than two points, the intermediate switch sits between two two-way switches to create the three-point circuit. The screwless cover plate clips onto a separate metal sub-frame fixed to the back box, giving a clean finish with no visible fixings on the wall once installed. The 16mm minimum back box depth requirement makes it compatible with shallow mounting boxes in plasterboard and dot-and-dab walls.

The polished brass finish provides a warm reflective surface that pairs well with traditional, classical and warm-toned contemporary interiors. The metal rocker matches the faceplate finish, creating a cohesive appearance across the switch face. The premium-grade steel construction behind the brass finish is rated IP20 and carries an integrated gasket to resist moisture ingress in domestic environments. The switch is certified to EN 60669-1 and carries a 25-year warranty.
