Description

The Knightsbridge 1-gang dimmer plate is an unpopulated screwless faceplate designed to accept centre or offset-mounted dimmer modules. The polished chrome faceplate clips onto a separate metal sub-frame and includes a matching metal dimmer cap that covers the rotary dimmer module once fitted. The plate is constructed from premium-grade steel and measures 87.5mm square with a 4.3mm projection from the wall.

Designed for residential and commercial installation, the dimmer plate provides a cleaner finish than traditional screw-fixed plates by concealing all fixings behind the cover. The built-in gasket creates a seal between the faceplate and the wall, reducing dust ingress and providing a flush visual edge. The unpopulated design means the dimmer module is purchased and installed separately, allowing flexibility to choose the specific dimmer rating and type required for the lighting circuit.

The polished chrome finish provides a high-reflective surface that pairs with modern, contemporary and minimalist interiors. What back box depth is required?

The plate requires a standard 25mm minimum back box depth. The screwless cover plate clips onto a metal sub-frame fixed to the back box and adds 4.3mm of projection from the wall once fitted.

Is the screwless plate removable for redecorating?

Yes. The polished chrome cover plate clips onto the sub-frame and can be removed for painting around the switch and re-clipped without re-wiring the dimmer module.
