The Knightsbridge 1-gang blanking plate covers unused or redundant electrical back boxes behind a matt black screwless faceplate. Made from premium-grade steel with a 4.3mm projection from the wall once fitted, the plate clips onto a separate metal sub-frame, leaving no visible screws or fixings on the installed surface.

Designed for residential, hospitality and commercial installation where back boxes need to be concealed after rewiring, socket relocation or room reconfiguration, the blanking plate fits standard single-gang 25mm back boxes. The built-in gasket between the faceplate and sub-frame provides additional dust resistance and helps meet IP20 rating requirements for indoor use.

The matt black finish is powder-coated onto the steel faceplate, providing a low-sheen surface that resists fingerprints and pairs well with contemporary, industrial and minimalist interiors. The screwless design means the plate can be removed for redecorating without needing to re-fix screws through painted surfaces. The blanking plate fits standard single-gang 25mm minimum depth back boxes. The screwless faceplate clips onto a separate metal sub-frame that fixes to the back box with screws, then the cover plate clips over that sub-frame.

Is the screwless plate removable for decorating?

Yes. The faceplate clips onto the sub-frame and can be removed without tools for painting or wallpapering around the plate, then re-clipped once the decoration is complete.
