Description

A rotary dimmer on a screwless plate, finished in cool grey with a chrome control knob at its centre. It is a single gang, two way switch, so it can work on its own or as one of a pair controlling the same lighting circuit from either end. The rating is 100W of LED lighting, which covers most domestic ceiling and wall fittings. The knob turns to set the brightness, which is a simple, tactile way to bring a room down to a low glow.

We would fit this in a sitting room or bedroom where the light needs to drop back in the evening, and in dining rooms where the level wanted over a meal is not the level wanted afterwards. It also suits a stair or landing where switches at each end share the same light, and hallways worked from both doors. Its place is indoor lighting circuits in the home, so keep it to dry rooms and leave bathrooms and outbuildings to kit meant for them. The plate is moulded in ABS rather than metal, which gives an even matt cool grey across the face, with the chrome knob as the only break in it. The moulding is double insulated. For cleaning, wipe the face with a barely damp cloth and dry it off; avoid sprays and cream cleaners, as they can dull the plastic and mark the chrome. It carries a ten year warranty.
