Description
A screwless front plate keeps all the fixing detail out of sight, so what you see is a plain brushed steel face with a fine directional grain and softly eased edges. The rocker insert is chrome, standing slightly proud of the plate for an easy thumb press, and it clicks with a firm, definite action rather than a vague one. Switching is 10A and triple pole, breaking live, neutral and switched live together so a fan can be fully isolated in one movement. The plate is square, 88mm across, with a low profile that sits quietly against the wall.
This is the control that belongs with an extract fan in a bathroom, en-suite, shower room or utility, particularly where the fan runs on a timer or has an overrun. We would site it on the dry side of the door, clear of steam and splashes, working on an ordinary household lighting circuit. It is double insulated, and it is one we reach for when a plain white moulded plate would look out of step with the rest of the room. Anyone finishing a bathroom in brushed metal ironmongery will find it sits happily alongside taps, towel rails and door handles.
The visible face is steel, backed by an ABS moulded body, so the metal takes the daily wear while the plastic does the insulating. Brushed steel is reasonably forgiving about marks, and a dry microfibre cloth drawn along the grain will lift dust and fingerprints; keep cream cleaners, solvents and abrasive pads away from it, and switch off before you go near the plate with anything damp. It carries a ten year warranty. Brushed steel with a chrome rocker pairs easily with chrome or nickel fittings already in a room, which makes it a quiet choice rather than a loud one.

Frequently Asked
What does triple pole switching actually do?
It breaks live, neutral and switched live at the same time, which fully isolates an extract fan for servicing or cleaning. A standard single pole switch only breaks one conductor.
How big is the plate?
It is a square plate measuring 88mm by 88mm, with a depth of 25mm, so it takes up the same footprint as a common single plate.
What is it made from?
A pressed steel front plate in a brushed silver finish over an ABS moulded body, with a chrome rocker insert.
Can it go inside a shower room?
It is rated IP20, so it belongs in dry positions away from direct water and spray rather than within a wet zone.
How should I clean it without spoiling the finish?
Wipe along the brushed grain with a dry or barely damp soft cloth. Avoid scouring pads, bleach, cream cleaners and solvent sprays, as these will dull the steel.
Are the fixing screws visible?
No. The screwless design uses a clip-on cover plate, so the face stays clean with no screw heads on show.
