Zara 4 Light Chandelier - Brushed Steel

The Zara is a 483mm diameter chandelier built around a drum shade made from hand-welded square metal pieces, each curved in two directions to form a continuous mosaic surface. The brushed steel finish sits over the metalwork, with four arched metal ribs rising from the drum to a central ceiling mount. Four E27 bulb holders sit inside the drum, each covered by a silver organza shade and a frosted glass diffuser.

Designed for dining rooms, entrance halls and living rooms with ceiling heights of 2.4m or higher, the Zara provides ambient light through the mosaic metalwork and diffused downlight through the frosted glass base. The 1525mm adjustable drop can be shortened on installation to suit ceiling heights between 2.6m and 4.5m, with the minimum drop of 564mm placing the bottom of the fixture approximately 1.9m above floor level. The four-light configuration suits rooms of 15-25m² where a central ceiling light is the primary source.

The hand-welded metal mosaic creates geometric shadow patterns on surrounding walls when lit, adding visual interest beyond the direct illumination. Each square metal piece is individually positioned and welded, so minor variations in spacing and alignment occur between individual chandeliers. The brushed steel finish provides a satin-grey tone that sits between polished chrome and graphite, pairing with both warm and cool-toned interiors. The organza shades soften the bulb glare without blocking light entirely, while the frosted glass diffusers direct most of the light downwards.

What bulbs does the Zara take?

The chandelier takes four E27 (Edison screw) bulbs up to 60W each, sold separately. Most users pair this with warm-white LED bulbs between 6-10W and 2700K-3000K for dining and living spaces.

Can the drop height be adjusted after installation?

No. The chain length must be set during installation. The 1525mm chain allows the drop to be adjusted between 564mm and 2089mm, but once the ceiling canopy is fixed and the excess chain concealed, the height cannot be changed without removing the fitting.

What ceiling height is needed?

The minimum drop of 564mm suits ceiling heights of 2.4m or higher. For dining tables, the base of the chandelier typically sits 700-900mm above the table surface, which works in rooms with ceiling heights of 2.6m and above.

Is the metalwork cleanable?

Yes. The brushed steel mosaic can be dusted with a dry microfibre cloth. For fingerprints or marks, a barely-damp cloth with distilled water is acceptable, but avoid soaking the metal or using household sprays that may leave streaks on the brushed finish.
