Description
The Wraymoor wall light is a single lamp fitting in antique brass with a slim clear glass lantern shade. It stands 335mm tall, measures 110mm wide and projects 185mm from the wall, so it keeps close to the plaster in halls and alcoves where a deeper fitting would be in the way. The shade is glass, the backplate and arm are metal, and the whole wall sconce weighs only 0.7kg. One E14 LED lamp at 6W sits inside the glass.
Wall lights earn their place where you want light at eye level rather than from above: either side of a fireplace, along a landing, flanking a bed, or up a stairwell where a ceiling fitting is awkward to reach. Clear glass lets the lamp show through, so the light reads bright and lively rather than soft and diffused. It is dimmable with a compatible LED lamp and dimmer if you want it low in the evening, and a pair mounted at the same height gives a symmetrical wall an easy rhythm. We usually suggest a pair rather than a single fitting on a wide wall.
The metalwork carries an antique brass finish with a warm aged tone that will not fight period paintwork. Lift the glass off and wash it in warm water when it dulls, dry it fully, and keep a soft dry cloth for the brass; polishes and sprays can cut through the finish. The IP20 rating means dry rooms only, so it is not one for a bathroom. The Wraymoor pendant shares the same shade and finish if you want the wall lights and the ceiling light in a room to match.

Frequently Asked
What is the Wraymoor wall light made from?
A metal backplate and arm in an antique brass finish, with a slim clear glass shade.
How far does it stick out from the wall?
The projection is 185mm, with a height of 335mm and a width of 110mm, so it stays out of the way in narrow halls and beside beds.
How do I keep it clean?
Wash the glass in warm water and dry it before refitting, and use a dry soft cloth on the brass. Skip metal polish and spray cleaners.
What bulb does it need?
One E14 lamp at up to 6W. With a dimmable LED lamp and a compatible dimmer switch you can run it low.
Is it suitable for a bathroom?
No, it is rated IP20 for dry indoor use. Bedrooms, halls, landings and living rooms all suit it.
