Description

This is a brown Kraft paper mailing tape from Ultra Tape, made to seal cartons and parcels without any plastic. Each roll measures 48mm wide by 50m long, and the paper is coated with a high grab hotmelt adhesive that grips well as soon as it goes down. We rate it for light to medium carton sealing, along with packaging, splicing and tabbing jobs around the workshop or dispatch bench.

One of the things we like about paper tape is how easy it is to use by hand. You can tear it across without scissors or a dispenser blade, which keeps things moving when you have a lot of parcels to pack. The paper conforms well to boxes and holds firmly on different types of cardboard, so you get a clean, flat finish rather than a lifting edge. It has good tensile strength too, which helps it stay put once the box is sealed and stacked.

The main reason to reach for this over a standard packing tape is the plastic free build. The whole roll is Kraft paper, so it can go through the recycling stream along with the cardboard box it seals. That makes it a sensible choice if you are trying to cut plastic out of your packaging and want your parcels to be kerbside recyclable. It works well for one-off shipments and higher volume dispatch alike, and the brown finish sits neatly against most cardboard.
