The Tolmere pendant winds a continuous LED ribbon into a loose spiral, so the light source is the shape itself rather than a lamp inside a shade. It measures 570mm across with a drop that adjusts from 400mm to 1600mm, and at 1.9kg it stays light for its size. The LED is integrated, which means there is nothing to buy separately and nothing to change over, and the fitting is dimmable when paired with a compatible dimmer switch. Finished in satin gold, the spiral catches the light when it is off and glows as a soft ring of lines when lit.

This is a fitting for a spot where people will look at it: a stair void, a double height hallway, above a round dining table or in a bedroom where the drop can hang long.
