Description

The Swirl is a compact wall light built around a hand-finished resin spiral that extends from the wall plate, supporting a cream fabric rectangular shade. The resin base is finished in antiqued gold leaf, where the gold coating is deliberately aged and distressed to reveal tonal variation and darker accents in the recesses of the spiral form. The shade measures 254mm high by 178mm wide and sits 102mm from the wall once fitted.

Designed for hallways, bedroom reading positions, and alcoves where a decorative wall light can sit close to the wall without projecting far into the room, the Swirl provides directional upward and downward light through the top and bottom of the fabric shade. The compact projection of 102mm suits narrow hallways and positions next to beds or dressing tables where deeper wall lights would obstruct movement. The E27 socket accepts standard Edison screw bulbs up to 60W (sold separately), allowing control over light temperature and brightness.

The resin spiral is cast and then hand-finished, so each piece carries slight variation in the gold leaf application and the depth of antiquing in the crevices. The fabric shade is a linen-textured weave in a neutral cream tone that softens the light output and complements both the gold finish and the wall colour in most interiors.
